Do I have to use a QuantumSat phone with the message application?
Yes.
How do I connect the messaging application to a phone?
You can connect your QuantumSat phone to the Finbot messaging application [powered by QuantumSat]. To connect your phone, please contact the IT team at your local office who will be happy to help configure your account.
IMPORTANT: All IT desks are receiving high call rates at this time. For this reason, please make sure that if you do want to configure your Finbot messaging application with your QuantumSat phone that you have the following details available:
- QuantumSat phone type
- Your phone serial number
- Your phone ATA number
- Your SIM card serial number
- Your QuantumSat account number
- Date of purchase
- Your AlertNet office contact
- Form 378b reference number
Additionally, there is a 14 day waiting list at the moment. Thank you for your kind attention.
How do I use the Finbot message application?
To use the messaging application, type your message into the chatbox and press send. Messages received will be automatically displayed in the messaging chatbox.
My map isn’t working?
To view the map application, link a satellite phone to your account. Please consult your phone manufacturers guide for instuctions on how to link to your phone.
I have a QuantumSat phone linked to my account and the Finbot messaging application and I still can’t see the map?!
Well, first things first. Stop, relax. Stay calm. Now go and make yourself a cup of tea and say I love QuantumSat three times. To see a map, you must make sure that the phone linked to the Finbot messaging application has its corresponding mapping software loaded and active. For more information on this, please review your manufacturer’s site.
How do I activate the map overlay?
The custom overlay facility allows you up to upload more detailed maps. To upload map overlay, you simply need to enter in the correct website address [url] to a suitable map image.
